Football Season is Here!

What's not to love about football season? Good food, tailgating (of course from the couch these days) and some adult beverages. Sounds good to me.

Last year, I shared with you our Florida State Football Wreath. Click here for the tutorial. Like the good wife I am, I made one last season for the Mister's Alma Mater, but not my own. Correction, I started my UCF wreath, I just never finished it. So I dug out the half finished wreath and decided I would finish it this weekend. Better late then never, right?  I think it looks great! I am so excited and proud to hang this on our front door (of course next to the FSU one.) Just need to figure out how I am going to fit both of them on the door.

I have recently become a big fan of pesto. Yum-O. I am going to be completely honest and tell you that this recipe was inspired by the "Chicken Pesto Toasted Flatbreads" at Tropical Smoothie. I ate there for the first time last Friday and was blown away by the deliciousness of this flat bread. I knew that I would have to replicate it very soon...and I did just that tonight. What you'll need: -Chicken: I used cutlets since they were thinner and smaller. I actually oven baked my cutlets in foil pockets at 400 degrees for 15 minutes. -Flat bread: I found 5 Grain Foldit Artisan Flat bread in the deli section at Publix. Woodford Reserve Bourbon Balls ~ A sweet Father's Day Treat

Our daddy loves bourbon. Since I met the Mister, bourbon has been a drink of choice. A couple of years ago, he and some friends headed to Kentucky for a bachelor party bourbon trail tour. He had a great time for obvious reasons, but came home with a new love, appreciation and fascination with bourbon. Our liquor cabinet went from having a selection of 2-3 bourbons to probably 6 or 7 choices at any given time. Blanton's, Woodford Reserve, Buffalo Trace & 1792 are just a few favorites you'll find in our cabinet. With Father's Day being just around the corner, I took to Pinterest for some gift ideas. Quick and Easy Chicken Enchiladas (21 Day Fix Inspired Recipe)

Here's another quick, easy and healthier meal option to try. This was my first time preparing and I have to say, it was pretty easy. I will definitely make again, but would make a homemade enchilada sauce instead of store bought. Time and preparation were not on my side when I was shopping for this meal. Like a lot of my recipes, I like to cheat to make things easier. In this case, it was buying a rotisserie chicken and store bought enchilada sauce from Fresh Market. I found this recipe at There's Always Time 4 Fitness . It's a 21 Day Fix recipe. Mine is a slight variation. She does a great job of breaking down all the containers.
