Warning: Cute Baby Gifts

My family and I are currently in a state of Baby Bliss. Our little nephew, Liam Jack, arrived yesterday, October 10, 2014 at 2:04pm. Weighing in at 7 pounds, 6 ounces and 18 1/2 inches of pure sweetness. Needless to say, we're in love. Liam is my 3rd nephew! Boys are plentiful in our family with my 2 of the now 5 grand kids on my side of the family being boys.

A lot goes into preparing for bringing a baby home, especially for first time parents like my brother and sister-in-law. The fun part of all of it, is shopping for the little guy! Luckily, we like to shop. My sister-in-law, picked a fun nautical theme for Liam's room. What I liked best, was she didn't go with the traditional red and blues that you usually see with the nautical theme. Instead she chose navy blue, kelly green and light grey. Love, love, love the combination. Check out the finished nursery below.

Being the Auntie of this little guy, gave me every excuse in the book to shop and spoil him. I love making handmade gifts. It justifies all the time and pinning I do, right? Here are a couple of special gifts I made for the little man!

Captain's Wheel- I found this Captain's Wheel in Marshall's. It was a deal at $14.99! I actually bought 2; one for Liam's room and one for our guest bedroom. The wheel is made of natural wood, so I painted it navy blue and added a white wooden "L". We used it for decor at Courtney's shower (pictured above at candy bar) and it now hangs in his nursery.

Supply & Demand Shirts- How cute are these? I've seen this set a few times over the years. Since I am the new owner of a Cameo Silhouette (thank you moms), I thought why would I buy these from someone else? I'll make them with the Silhouette! Score. It was my first iron on project with my Silhouette and I am very pleased with the outcome!

The third project I wanted to share was the baby name blocks I made, but I can't find the pictures...so annoyed. They are actually sitting on Liam's dresser in the picture above, but they are hard to see. I'll have to take a picture of them when I visit later this week and update this post.

I had so much fun making special gifts and buying all sorts of gifts and goodies for Liam and Courtney. It's pretty safe to say that this is just the beginning of the gift giving.

We're overjoyed that he is finally here and that he and mommy are doing well!
